About the event
Hello!
I'm David Reynolds, keen public-speaker and group organiser of 9 months.
Ever since the first meeting in Spring 2021, these sessions have been about having fun, learning new things, and expanding our comfort zones together.
Speaking in front of a live audience can be scary, but it’s a really useful skill that makes life much more easier and enjoyable, and can open up many doors.
The supportive sandbox environment I've created enables people of all experience levels to acquire public-speaking experience without having to risk any real-life consequences.
These sessions won't just help you to present better over Zoom- these lessons we learn from these sessions translate seamlessly into real life. In these sessions, each person gets to give a speech about an interesting topic or question, after which they're asked what they thought went well and how it could be improved.
This usually brings up some interesting conversations and realisations.
Then, I'll open it up to the audience and they'll share some feedback on what they thought went well and how it could be improved.
We discuss how to speak confidently, what makes a good speech, and the effects of confident speaking in social settings, so each session is packed full of interesting insights.
All skill levels are welcome, and it's ok if English is not your first language. It's also ok to bring a prepared speech.
Being an effective public-speaker can positively affect all aspects of your life, including business, career, relationships, and mental health, so I hope to see you soon!
David
