The purpose of this group is to be a training ground for becoming more and more comfortable with taking centre stage. These events are all about building public-speaking experience by speaking to a live, SCARY audience of people from all around the world. You could think of each event as a sandbox for public-speaking, where you can develop your speaking skills with less pressure than in real-life scenarios. It's a fun and supportive environment where we all get experience of speaking in front of random, friendly people from around the world. It's also a good place to test different social skills and also improve our english. We take turns to give two-minute speeches about random (but interesting) topics or questions, after being reminded to remain aware of ourself while we're speaking. The speeches themselves are pretty interesting as we learn about life in other countries. After giving a speech, David will ask you how you think it went, how you felt while giving it it, and what you think went well / didn't go well and how it could've gone better. After that, we'll all give our honest feedback on how it went.
